This is a tradition of Friends of SWGS. Our daughters received the Smarties when they first joined. FOSWGS send a tube of Smarties home with the year 7 students as a recognition for achieving their 11+ and getting a place at South Wilts Grammar School. A 'welcome'. To help us with our fundraising, we ask the students to return the empty tube of Smarties with loose change, ideally 20 pence pieces. We ask for these to be returned to form teachers at school during September, when they first start school. It’s a great way to fundraise for the Friends of South Wilts. Thank you for your support.
